Respects

I will respect personal boundaries, touch others appropriately and only with permission.
I will respect other people's feelings and emotions and take responsibility for my own. I will work to abolish verbal abuse, including harsh language, loud and angry voices, the use of sarcasm as passive-aggressive behavior, etc. Here at RHA We learn to speak respectfully using the tools of NVC and Imago Dialog.
I will practice my listening skills (Imago Dialog) as a means of controlling my reactive-ness.
I will use my listening skills to create connection with my fellow communitarians.
I will respect my own and others right to privacy, solitude, quiet, and security. I will not enter others personal space without permission.
I will respect and care for personal, communal, and community property including our tools vehicles, house and grounds, woodlands etc.
I will respect the community structure and our sociocratic oriented governance style.

Responsibilities

I will be conscientious in my attendance of community meetings and social gatherings. I understand that I play a vital role in our community and that my participation is required.
I take responsibility for communicating my ideas and feelings.I will study NVC and Imago Dialog and other community building exercises to work toward that goal.
It is my responsibility to contribute time and energy to the community in the form of work parties and household chores. I agree to participate on one or more committees in the spirit of Sociocracy. I will actively look for ways to contribute to our community. I will negotiate any reduced need in my participation because of something like aging.
I agree to be open and transparent about my personal financial situation. I agree to keep my financial agreement with the community in good standing. I agree to keep the community informed of any changes in my personal financial standing. Continued failure to meet my agreed upon financial obligations will Result in revocation of membership.
I understand that living in community is a great opportunity for personal growth. I agree to attend seminars and workshops to that end. I agree to be open to the teachings of the Elders in the Community Living space. I agree to be open to personal feedback.
